The Library enjoys enormous collections of resources for class and for your own research. Our academic library is considerably different than the high school or public libraries students might be used to. We look forward to working with you in developing information literacy and critical thinking skills.

The Helpdesk is located within the library. See the Computers/IT tab above for more information about the Helpdesk.
The library can complement students' learning process. To help maximize the usefulness of resources, librarians can spend some time with your class. If you have a specific assignment or simply want an overview, please get in touch. We love to assist whether it's in the classroom or via Zoom in your online class.
Your library barcode is printed on the back of your CWC ID card, which you can get in Rustler Central Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm, 307-855-2115. Your library card may be used to check out books, technology, games, DVDs, and request books from other libraries. You must link your CWC ID card to the library before the first use by completing this form either online or in-person: http://www.cwc.edu/library/library-application/#form
Most of the library resources are online and accessible 24/7 with a CWC username and password. Content ranges from traditional and peer-reviewed journal and news sources to documentaries, eBooks, historical archives, music, statistics, digital images, practice/test prep, foreign language learning, maps, and much more! See Library Resources
The library catalog is a state-wide system that allows you to search not only CWC's holdings but also those of most of the libraries in the state. If another library has the item you need, you may request it through Interlibrary loan (ILL). In most cases ILL is free of charge; in the rare case the lending library charges a fee you have the ability to decide beforehand.
The library has 5 laptops, 10 Chromebooks, 8 iPads, and 2 large flat-screen TVs available for use. A user agreement form must be submitted prior to the first checkout. These devices are available for students and staff for 1 week checkouts with renewals possible.* We cannot guarantee all equipment will always be available so prepare ahead. *Flat-screen TVs are for in-library use only OR can be checked out of the library by a CWC staff person or faculty. Students may not use the flat-screen TVs outside of the library.
Instructors may put books "On Reserve" for their students. The items can check out for various time periods for the students and cannot be checked out by the community at large. To put personal items or library items on reserve (which are kept behind the circulation desk) come to the library, call, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
