Riverton

This guide is designed to help find helpful information regarding the happenings of Riverton, Fremont County, and CWC outreach locations.

Transit

WRTA — Operating Monday through Friday, rides are free with student ID or $2 each way. There is a fixed route and options for on-demand and after-hour rides. 

RPTS — Operates Monday through Friday. Rides are $5 each way. Transportation is available anywhere within Riverton city limits. 

- Gator Creek Taxi Service - Based in Riverton, serves the state of Wyoming. Runs 27/7 

- Lyft - App-based rideshare service. 

- Uber - App-based rideshare service. 

Prices for the above vary, with Gator Creek being the most consistent. 

 

Riverton is a very walkable community with a walk score of 80. Most errands can be accomplished on foot, and with walking trails throughout town, walks can be quite scenic. It may be beneficial to take the WRTA (bus) into town. 

Bikes are allowed on campus and can be a helpful way to get to Smith's for a grocery run or the aquatic center for a soak in the hot tub.
