Reading

Reading, or the English Language Arts, is more than just reading and writing; it's a powerhouse of skills that can supercharge your life! First, reading boosts your brainpower, making you smarter and more creative. Writing skills? They help you express ideas clearly, a handy skill in any job or relationship. Speaking of jobs, good ELA skills are like a golden ticket – employers love clear communicators. Plus, diving into literature builds empathy and understanding of diverse perspectives. It's like a VIP pass to different cultures and times! So, buckle up for the ELA adventure – it's not just a subject; it's a life-enhancer.

Also, fun fact: not all librarians are voracious readers. However, we're all good at finding books that we want to read, and we're skilled at helping YOU find something you'll like to read.

Recommended Reading

The library has a wide selection of books, and with our partnerships with the rest of the Wyoming libraries, we can help you find a book you'll enjoy. Here are some popular options, and if you don't see anything you like, the librarians will be happy to help!

Reading magazines is another excellent way to flex your reading muscles, but we recommend reading some of the full articles or interviews to get the full benefit. The Libby app has a wide variety of magazines to choose from. There's also access to newspapers both in the library and through our databases. Remember you'll need your library card number and PIN.
