Visit the Library

We at the CWC Library are here to help.  It's not just our job, but our passion.  No question is too small, silly, or out-there...we have heard a lot and if we don't know the answer we hopefully can help you find it.

The CWC Library located in Main Hall 109 is the main library for the campus of Central Wyoming College, serving our students, instructional faculty, and campus staff, as well as the community of Riverton, Fremont County, and our multiple Outreach Centers in Lander, Wind River, Dubois, and Jackson.

Course Reserves

Instructors may put books "On Reserve" for their students. The items can check out for various time periods for the students and cannot be checked out by the community at large. To put personal items or library items on reserve (which are kept behind the circulation desk) come to the library, call Sam 307-855-2232, email librarian@cwc.edu, or use our Reserve Form

Interlibrary Loans

The library catalog is a state-wide system that allows you to search not only CWC's collection but also every county library and community college library. Learn how to request items through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) here.  In most cases, ILL is free of charge; in the rare case the lending library charges a fee you have the ability to decide beforehand.

On average, this service takes 5-7 business days.

Helpful Resources

Why use Databases?

There are many reasons that you should utilize databases for your research needs.

  • Items found in databases are written by experts in their field and are professional writers.
  • Databases search a select number of journals and articles, which narrows the search to bring you items that are on-point.  This makes your research more manageable.
  • The databases we subscribe to are specific to the areas of study here at CWC.  We have approved them as useful resources.

Just like your thesis statement - having a narrow search field allows you to focus on your end product -- a GREAT research paper.
