Certification Exams

Certification exams are offered according to a determined schedule.

What is the HiSET?

The High School Equivalency Test by ETS is a battery of 5 exams which determines your eligibility for the Wyoming High School Equivalency Certificate. Register with the Adult Learning Center to prepare for the exams. The five exams cover the subjects of  Science, Social Studies, Reading, Writing, and Math. The costs for these exams are paid through a BOCES grant.

What is the GED® Program?

MyGED™ is the online portal to sign up, study, schedule exams, check scores, and learn about jobs and college. Sign up for MyGED™ at www.GED.com.

The GED® test has four parts: Science, Social Studies, Reasoning Through Language Arts, and Math. You will pay when you make your appointments online.

Free practice tests are available for any Wyoming library card holder through the Wyoming library system

  • Locate the “Learning Express Library” and log in with your public library card information

WorkKeys

  • Applied Math, Workplace Documents, Graphic Literacy exams are offered
  • If qualified, may be used for fourth tier (Hathaway Provisional Opportunity) of Hathaway Scholarship at Wyoming Community Colleges
  • $67.50 for the three-test series
  • Testing by appointment only

  • Testing Time:
    • The testing appointment allows 30 minutes for check-in and registration and about 55 minutes to complete each assessment.

    • $17: Applied Tech
    • $20: Business Writing

  • The testing fee must be paid at the CWC cashiers’ window, located in the Main Hall Rustler Central hallway, and is non-refundable.
Hathaway Scholarship Program
  • Applied Mathematics, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents are required.
National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC):
  • Applied Mathematics, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents are required.
  • After testing, candidates may register at myworkkeys.com to manage an NCRC account.
  • Score Requirements to earn a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC):
    • On all 3 tests, the candidate must score at least a:
      • Level 3 to get a Bronze Certificate
      • Level 4 to get a Silver Certificate
      • Level 5 to get a Gold Certificate
      • Level 6 to get a Platinum Certificate

Wyoming Constitution exam

  • Used to satisfy the Wyoming portion of Constitutional General Education requirement
  • The form with instructions is available at the Test Centers or the outreach offices.  It can also be printed from the Wyoming Constitution tab. 
  • Cost is $50.00
